This is a collaborative project in response to Google’s and HMCT’s D&AD brief.
The term ‘immigration’ holds a negative connotation that often does not reflect the true situation of immigrants living in the UK. Additionally, due to current events, hate crimes towards the group has also raised 123% over the last 6 years. In order to raise awareness on the issue, a special edition vinyl of Sly and the Family Stone’s Everyday People, is designed alongside a campaign to promote the act of equality. The song is iconic for its lyrics that challenges the public’s perception towards racial differences, and sends a message of accepting one another.
Promotional materials such as an outdoor interactive poster, as well as an Instagram filter encourages the public’s participation in coming together.
